Kathie's was founded by Kathie Hughes in 1980 and joined in business by her husband Bill, in 1996. A native of Western Pennsylvania, Kathie attended Indiana University of PA and earned both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Elementary Education. After teaching in the Armstrong and Donegal School Districts for 14 years, Kathie made her lifelong dream of owning a Christmas shop a reality by opening Kathie's Christmas in October 1980.
Kathie's vision is to be the leading retailer of high quality Christmas, collectibles, and gifts in the greater Harrisburg area. Through a combination of warm and friendly service and the finest available product lines, she has built a customer base that is enthusiastically satisfied every time they visit Kathie's Christmas & Collectibles. Kathie views the customer interaction with her staff and the quality of her products as critical to her long term success.

From the PA Turnpike-Take Exit 17 of the Turnpike. At the Toll booth take Rt. 15 North toward Harrisburg for less than 3 miles. Take the Highland Park Exit. Bear right at the exit and go along the side of the mall. At the stop sign turn left. Kathie's Christmas & Collectibles is on your right next to Theo's Restaurant.
From Rt. 78 (East of Harrisburg)-Take Rt. 83 South toward Harrisburg. Cross the Susquehanna River. Go straight ahead toward Camp Hill. Take the second exit onto Rt. 15 South toward Gettysburg. Take the Highland Park exit. Bear right and turn right at the stop sign. Go straight ahead until you reach the stop light. Turn right at the stop light. From York (Rt. 83)- Take Rt. 83 North toward Harrisburg. Take Rt. 581 toward Camp Hill. Take the second exit onto Rt. 15 South toward Gettysburg. Immediately take the Highland Park Exit.
