Central Pennsylvania Food Bank Event

These are difficult times for those that are less fortunate and the demands on the Central Pennsylvnia Food Bank are greater than ever. Bring nonperishable food or make a cash donation to our local Food Bank at Kathie's on Saturday, May 7 and receive 10% off your total purchase.  This discount is in addition to any other discounts and will also apply to sale items.  Our goal is to have a minimum  200 food or cash donations during this event.  Please drop off your or make a donation to the food bank on Saturday, May 7, even if you are not planning on making a purchase.  You will be glad you did! Art Festival Saturday, May 14 & Sunday May 15 Our annual Spring Art Festival will feature 3 great artists this year.  The incredible Robert Finale, Disney's own Mike Kupka and our crowd favorite, Patrick Kinkade.  The event will kick off with a special reception for Robert, Mike & Pat at 10 AM Saturday, May 14 and end 5 PM Sunday.  We are hoping that you will be able to attend our Festival.  If you know any young people who are interested in art, please bring them along to the event.  We will make sure that they get to meet the artists and ask any questions they may have.     Mike Kupka Mike Kupka will be making his 4th personal appearance at Kathie's.  During the past 2 years Mike has developed a nice following among our Disney collectors who love the way he captures the true essence of the Disney characters in his paintings. Mike especially loves to paint the Disney Villians and his works that include a villian are among his best sellers. Last year while he was at Kathie's Mike painted "Soccer Mickey" which was very popular during last year's world cup.  Be sure to stop by and see what new original he will be creating this year!  Watching Mike at work is always a fun and educational experience.  Mike will be offering his latest limited edition painting in our Disney Art Gallery during the festival.  With any purchase during this exclusive event, Mike will hand embellish and personalize your work of art, creating a one of a kind piece of Disney art for your collection.     Robert Finale Robert Finale uses his paintings to communicate with each individual that views his work.  Using rich colors and textures, Robert has developed his own vocabulary through his paintings.  Expressing this rich language through places and entities Robert taps into his own world and the fragile emotions that exist within all of us.  Robert believes that each of his paintings is a window to millions of different emotions that have existed and exist through all of us, giving the viewer a powerful tool to look within his own world, for understanding of his life's journey.  Robert will personally sign and draw an original sketch on the reverse side of any of his paintings purchased for this event.  If you prefer, Robert will do an original sketch on a 4 x 6" canvas that can be hung in conjunction with your painting.  During this visit on May 14 & 15, Robert will introduce 4 new paintings, Table for Two, Afternoon by the River Seine, London Bridge and Boat House Row.  Plan to stop by, say hello and take in Robert's world.
